About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Payroll & Compliance Officer to join a UAE-based firm operating in the Defence, Aerospace, and Industrial sectors. This full-time position, based in Abu Dhabi, demands expertise in overseeing payroll tasks and ensuring strict adherence to UAE's payroll regulations and the Wage Protection System.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute preparation and timely processing of monthly payroll cycles.
- Maintain meticulous payroll records and documentation.
- Manage submissions related to the Wage Protection System (WPS).
- Conduct thorough verification of payroll calculations for accuracy.
- Handle coordination of salary changes, including adjustments and deductions.
- Collaborate effectively with the HR and Finance departments.
- Keep employee payroll information up to date and accurate.
- Ensure all payroll activities comply with relevant UAE labor laws and regulations.
- Support the organization’s compliance related to UAE payroll standards.
- Maintain and generate payroll reports along with essential supporting documents.
- Administer payroll functions using the Bayzat platform.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrable hands-on experience managing payroll within the UAE.
- Practical knowledge and experience with the Wage Protection System is required.
- Well-versed in UAE payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Bayzat payroll software is essential or highly advantageous.
- Strong numerical skills with high attention to accuracy.
- Upholds strict confidentiality standards.
- Effective coordination capabilities with HR and Finance teams.
- Good command of English communication skills, both written and verbal.
