Overview
We are seeking an attentive and detail-driven Payroll Accountant responsible for managing comprehensive payroll functions, guaranteeing both precision and adherence to deadlines. This role requires strong accounting expertise along with prior experience in handling payroll administration effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute monthly payroll processing with accuracy and punctuality.
- Develop payroll journals, comprehensive reports, and conduct reconciliations.
- Maintain detailed payroll records and manage employee payroll data securely.
- Handle and resolve employee inquiries relating to their payroll.
- Ensure all payroll activities comply with UAE labor legislation and statutory standards.
- Support payroll audit activities and retain all relevant documentation.
- Analyze current payroll processes and suggest enhancements for efficiency.
- Validate salary changes, deductions, and entitlement to employee benefits.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required.
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience working in payroll accounting.
- Deep understanding of payroll processing techniques and accounting fundamentals.
- Familiarity with payroll management software such as Gusto, OnPay, Xero, or equivalent ERP/payroll systems.
- Highly analytical with strong organizational and communication capabilities.
- Committed to maintaining confidentiality and adept at meeting tight deadlines.
- Possession of professional payroll certifications like CPP or FPC would be advantageous.
