Role Overview: Overseas Quality Project Leader

• Lead and manage the stationed quality engineering team across Germany, including personnel deployment, training, and performance appraisal.
• Organize regional quality review meetings to facilitate smooth information exchange between China and German on-site teams and develop frontline quality talent pipelines.
• Coordinate overseas quality initiatives, including customer complaints, batch defects, safety quality incident investigations, and corrective actions by analyzing quality data and driving continuous improvements.
• Serve as a third-party liaison among Chinese suppliers, European Tier-1 companies, and local OEMs for handling incoming material defects, process flaws, and client quality complaints.
• Lead major quality and safety incident investigations by utilizing tools like 8D, FMEA, and VDA to implement lasting corrective measures.
• Maintain customer and cross-regional collaboration with German OEMs and Tier-1 clients by producing monthly and quarterly quality reports, synchronizing supplier risk assessments, and advancing cross-regional quality improvement projects.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Quality or related fields.
• At least 10 years of full-process quality management experience in complete vehicles or automotive Tier-1 environments, including 3+ years working abroad.
• Fluent English capable of handling independent business negotiations, client interactions, and communication with overseas employees; proficient German commensurate with daily work demands.
• Proven independent project management skills, overseeing multiple quality projects overseas, controlling schedules, costs, risks, and deliverables with cross-regional and cross-functional coordination and successful closure.
• Extensive experience dealing with client quality issue resolution, after-sales quality in overseas markets, OEM interfaces, major incident handling, and cross-border quality claims enforcement.
• Strong leadership, intercultural communication, coordination abilities, and resilience to manage stringent client audits and complex batch quality crises independently.
