Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations and assess vision accurately.
- Perform both objective and subjective refraction tests.
- Identify and diagnose refractive conditions like myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
- Screen for eye diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
- Prescribe corrective devices such as spectacles, contact lenses, and aids for low vision.
- Support ophthalmologists through pre-operative assessments and follow-up care post-surgery.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor or Diploma in Optometry.
- Have 1 to 2 years of experience practicing as an optometrist.
