Role Overview
The Tool Stores Coordinator ensures effective management and upkeep of tools essential for line maintenance activities, guaranteeing that all equipment complies with GACA regulations and remains in operable condition. This role involves fostering strong collaborative relationships with Maintenance Duty Managers to optimize store operations, thereby supporting seamless maintenance workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control tools store operations including storage, handling techniques, tool segregation, packaging, and shelf-life monitoring.
- Implement and oversee calibration programs and ensure data accuracy related to tools inventory.
- Maintain adherence to health and safety standards ensuring tools are documented and readily accessible to support continuous maintenance tasks.
- Ensure operational practices align with safety, reliability, and efficiency standards to enhance line maintenance support.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should hold a diploma or an equivalent qualification and possess between 2 to 5 years of professional experience in the Airline, MRO, or Aerospace industries. Strong familiarity with tools management and storekeeping procedures is required.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Strong interpersonal abilities conducive to effective collaboration with maintenance management and teams.
- Completion of Logistics Management Skill Course training and Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA) certification is advantageous.
- Knowledge of airframe and engine manufacturers is beneficial.
- Capability to obtain necessary police security clearances.
