Role Summary

This position entails delivering direct, face-to-face IT assistance to Planet’s office personnel and executives. Responsibilities include walk-up and desk-side support, managing meeting-room audio-visual and Microsoft Teams Rooms technologies, and facilitating hardware and infrastructure support in collaboration with IT teams. As a visible IT presence in the workplace, you will promptly resolve technical problems, prepare devices and workspaces, and maintain reliable collaboration technology.

Primary Duties

• Offer walk-up and desk-side in-person support for endpoints, peripherals, applications, and connectivity issues.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot AV and Microsoft Teams Rooms equipment in meeting spaces to ensure event readiness.
• Provide attentive, high-quality support tailored to senior stakeholders and their events or presentations.
• Manage the device lifecycle, including imaging, provisioning, deployment, and collection of Windows and macOS devices; oversee hardware provision for new starters, leavers, and refreshes.
• Perform hands-on support for infrastructure, networking, cabling, communications rooms, printers, and hardware replacements.
• Administer local hardware stock and consumables, ensuring asset records for on-site equipment are precise and up to date.
• Handle incident and service requests via ITSM tools (Jira Service Management), achieving resolutions within service level agreements.
• Assist with office relocations, floor modifications, and on-site events, coordinating with facilities and IT departments.
• Maintain documentation, including runbooks and asset records, and share knowledge with the broader service desk team.

Success Criteria

Efficient and high-quality support delivered in person to office employees and executives; meeting rooms and Teams Rooms consistently prepared and functioning for events; accurate maintenance of on-site equipment asset records.

Candidate Profile

• Experience providing on-site and desk-side IT support, preferably for senior executives.
• Strong practical skills with hardware such as laptops, desktops, peripherals, printers, and mobile devices.
• Familiarity with meeting-room AV setups and Microsoft Teams Rooms support.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Experience with device provisioning tools like Intune (Autopilot) and/or JAMF.
• Comfortable performing basic networking tasks including patching, Wi-Fi support, and handling communications room hardware.
• Confident in using IT service management platforms and adhering to SLAs.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities coupled with a professional and customer-oriented approach.
• Ability to work full time on-site and physically handle IT equipment as necessary.
