About the Role
Step into an impactful teaching position with Crimson Global Academy, a cutting-edge online school providing live, interactive education to students globally. As an Applied Mathematics instructor, you will deliver real-time lessons demonstrating how math applies to real-world scenarios such as finance, measurement, and daily decision-making. You'll engage a diverse, motivated international student body, supported by advanced technology, a comprehensive curriculum, and a collaborative teaching community.
Working Hours
Classes occur Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST).
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and conduct engaging live lessons in Applied Mathematics that cater to the varied needs of students from multiple countries.
- Utilize diverse teaching methodologies and digital platforms to foster an interactive and encouraging online learning environment.
- Evaluate learners' progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt instructional approaches to maximize educational outcomes for all pupils.
- Communicate clear lesson schedules including content plans and assessment dates.
- Lead dynamic live sessions using CGA’s online tools and educational resources effectively.
- Assign meaningful homework, develop and administer tests and examinations, and offer feedback that promotes academic growth.
- Create high-quality educational content and contribute to the development of CGA’s resource library.
- Organize and maintain the online classroom on the Canvas platform, ensuring easy student access to assignments and assessments.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of five years teaching experience at the high school level (Grades 9–12) in an institutional setting. Tutoring experience alone does not meet this criterion.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
- Outstanding communication abilities for engaging effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficiency with online teaching tools and enthusiasm for integrating technology into education.
- Experience with the United States high school curriculum and knowledge of relevant external examinations where applicable.
Preferred Credentials
- Formal teaching certification (such as a postgraduate certificate in education, a teaching degree, or licensed educator status).
- Prior experience delivering online education.
