Role Overview

We seek a meticulous and accountable AI Tutor Onboarding & Training Specialist for the Human Data team. This position will ensure a smooth and high-quality onboarding journey for new AI Tutors and foster their ongoing development to maximize performance. You will manage the entire onboarding process from offer acceptance through orientation, initial training, and continuous skill enhancement to support rapid scaling while preserving quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the complete onboarding experience for all incoming AI Tutors starting from offer acceptance.
Create, plan, and deliver foundational orientation and training programs for AI Tutors.
Coordinate preparation of equipment, system access, and login credentials to guarantee tutors are fully ready by their start date.
Assess, develop, and update training content, guides, and resources in response to tutor feedback, management input, and evolving program demands to improve speed, quality, and ongoing learning.
Collaborate with Human Data leadership and subject matter experts to recognize skill gaps and provide specialized continuing education.
Monitor tutor onboarding progress and early milestones, including training completions and system readiness, proactively addressing any obstacles.
Act as the main contact for new tutors, offering prompt and quality support and guidance.
Work closely with internal teams such as recruiting, operations, quality assurance, and program management regarding tutor readiness and resource planning.
Participate in recruitment activities including hiring events and interviews as necessary.
Handle communication and announcements to the tutor community.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background.
At least one year of professional experience in onboarding, training, learning and development, human resources, customer success, or related people-centric roles.

Preferred Skills

Experience onboarding or training contractors, contingent workforce, or specialized talent, particularly in AI, data labeling, content moderation, or comparable high-volume quality programs.
Ability to design and facilitate both live and asynchronous training sessions.
Strong organizational skills with the capacity to multitask and prioritize in dynamic environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
High levels of ownership, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
Comfortable using tracking tools, spreadsheets, and basic educational technologies.
Awareness of AI/ML data collection and human feedback workflows is advantageous.

Additional Requirements

Preference given to applicants located in or willing to relocate to Palo Alto, California; remote working options are available.
This role may occasionally require overtime and weekend work to meet business needs.

Compensation and Benefits

For candidates in the United States, the salary ranges from $76,000 to $138,000 annually, based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, and qualifications. For international applicants, compensation details will be shared during the hiring process. The total rewards package incorporates equity options, comprehensive health benefits (medical, vision, dental), 401(k) retirement savings plans, disability insurance, life insurance, and various discounts. Benefits specifics depend on employment status and location, with eligible US employees receiving health insurance, 401(k), and paid sick leave.
