Network Operations Center Engineer

Overview

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer will oversee continuous monitoring, operational management, and support of data center infrastructure, networks, applications, and critical IT systems to guarantee optimal uptime, performance, and service continuity in line with established SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously supervise IT data center infrastructure, network devices, servers, applications, and vital services within a 24/7 operations environment.
• Proactively monitor alarms, alerts, events, and service disruptions using enterprise-grade monitoring tools and dashboards.
• Perform initial diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues related to infrastructure, networks, and systems.
• Escalate incidents that cannot be resolved at first level to appropriate support teams following SLA and OLA timelines, ensuring follow-up until resolution.
• Monitor communication systems including SIP Trunks and Session Border Controllers (SBCs) to maintain service reliability and availability.
• Document and track all incidents, service requests, outages, and actions within designated IT Service Management (ITSM) or ticketing platforms.
• Liaise and coordinate with vendors, internal teams, telecommunication providers, and third parties for fault identification and resolution.
• Generate shift handover documentation, operational reports, and event logs to facilitate seamless team transitions.
• Assist with maintenance tasks such as upgrades, patch management, system health checks, capacity monitoring, as well as business continuity and disaster recovery drills.
• Manage and oversee the Change Management process to ensure all planned changes are scrutinized, executed, and controlled with minimal disruption to production services.
