Network Engineer

About the Role

A reputable holding company with a broad range of enterprises based in Abu Dhabi is looking to fill two Network Engineer positions, including one replacement and one new addition. The successful candidates will collaborate closely with the Lead Network Engineer to manage daily network operations, ensuring stable, secure, and fast connectivity across the organization.

This position demands a proactive, hands-on professional who prefers thorough troubleshooting and pre-deployment testing to maintain optimal network performance, rather than responding only to issues after they arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and support the organization’s LAN and WAN infrastructures, including connectivity to remote sites.
• Continuously monitor, adjust, and resolve network issues to guarantee high availability and efficiency.
• Identify potential enhancements to network infrastructure and assist with implementing upgrades and modifications.
• Perform comprehensive testing of new or altered infrastructure prior to deployment to minimize disruption to users.
• Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and configuring setups needed for business operations.
• Liaise effectively with vendors to promptly address hardware and connectivity problems.
• Maintain detailed records of hardware and software assets including versions, serial numbers, warranties, IP addresses, and physical locations.
• Contribute to improving the documentation and resolution procedures for network issues to support business growth.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Have 3 to 5 years of experience in networking roles, with at least 3 years of experience within the UAE.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of networking concepts, server operating systems, and troubleshooting hardware/software.
• Exhibit strong communication skills comfortable supporting diverse end-users.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.

Additional Details

Location: Abu Dhabi (on-site)

Salary Range: AED 5,000 to 6,000 per month, depending on experience.
