Role overview

This is a full-time, one-year fixed-term appointment on the HSE PayScale Grade VII scale. The position sits within CRC’s Enhanced Complex Care Pathways and supports the organisation’s 2025–2030 strategy, which focuses on delivering the right supports at the right time and building a more inclusive future where people are valued and supported to live the life they choose.

The National Educational and Training Lead will take responsibility for planning, coordinating, managing, and overseeing the design and delivery of education programmes. The role is aimed at strengthening knowledge, capability, and collaboration across Children’s Disability Network Teams, Primary Care professionals, families, carers, and other stakeholders.

The postholder will also serve as a link between Enhanced Complex Care Pathways and community-based providers, helping to share good practice and support community teams in delivering high-quality care.

Key duties

The role centres on the end-to-end development and delivery of educational activity, including engagement with relevant groups to ensure programmes are practical, accessible, and aligned to service needs. It also involves organising events, workshops, and outreach activity, as well as assessing the impact of learning initiatives using performance measures and KPIs.

Essential criteria

Candidates are expected to hold a degree in a relevant area such as healthcare, education, social care, or a closely related discipline. They should bring demonstrated experience in designing and delivering education programmes, engaging stakeholders to shape learning content, and planning events, workshops, and outreach initiatives. Strong communication and facilitation skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of audiences. Experience evaluating education provision through metrics and KPIs is also needed. In addition, applicants must show strong organisational ability, sound communication, problem-solving capability, and the capacity to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities.

Additional information

Informal enquiries may be made to Dr. Damien Kiernan, Head of Specialist Services, by email at dkiernan@crc.ie or by phone on (01) 8542467.

The salary for this role follows the Department of Health Grade VII scale, code 0582, with pay ranging from €61,219 to €79,583, including two LSI points.

Shortlisting will apply, and applicants must clearly show in their CV and supporting documents how they meet the stated criteria.

Applications must be submitted by 17:00 on Thursday, 16 July 2026.

Applicants must be eligible to work in Ireland at the time they apply.
