Role Overview

We are seeking Mechanical QA/QC Engineers responsible for executing quality assurance and installation verification on complex construction and semiconductor facility projects. The role entails ensuring compliance with engineering requirements, industry norms, and client specifications through detailed inspections, system walkthroughs, documentation control, stakeholder engagement, and technical assistance. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams ensures high-quality installation, successful testing outcomes, and smooth project delivery from construction through commissioning.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform initial, intermediate, and final system walkthroughs to verify installation quality, completeness, and project specification adherence.
• Work closely with contractors and subcontractors to guarantee compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and procedural guidelines.
• Interpret and enforce relevant regulations, codes, and standards pertaining to plumbing, HVAC, PVC, and PVDF systems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to plan, schedule, and supervise construction and installation activities, managing work procedure compliance and addressing quality issues.
• Maintain thorough QA/QC records and documentation to showcase program implementation, efficiency, and ongoing maintenance.
• Complete and manage all essential quality assurance paperwork, inspection records, and project reports.
• Prepare detailed reports covering project progress, installation status, quality metrics, and issue resolution tasks.
• Promote effective communication and cooperation among subcontractors, engineering staff, office teams, consultants, and clients for successful project outcomes.
• Represent the company during pre-construction meetings, design reviews, project coordination, and operational sessions.
• Conduct final QA inspections and acceptance reviews ensuring conformity with design specifications, client expectations, and regulatory demands.
• Provide technical advice and respond to engineering and installation questions throughout project execution.
• Review finalized systems alongside owners and stakeholders to confirm hardware setup and installation quality per approved designs.
• Verify equipment and systems satisfy Operational and Factory Acceptance Testing requirements and expected performance.
• Identify, document, and resolve quality deficiencies, ensuring corrective actions are completed and validated before project closeout.
• Support commissioning, turnover, and handover processes to ensure seamless transition to operation and maintenance teams.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in Quality Control within Ireland is essential, especially in large-scale construction, engineering, or semiconductor environments.
• Strong knowledge of Irish and international construction codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• In-depth understanding of QC/QA procedures across construction and commissioning phases.
• Experience working in active semiconductor manufacturing settings, including cleanroom protocols and contamination prevention methods.
• Familiarity with semiconductor site standards, policies, procedures, and quality guidelines is highly desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical, piping, HVAC, plumbing, process utility, PVC, and PVDF construction activities.
• Capability in performing quality inspections, system walkdowns, managing punch-lists, and conducting turnover in regulated environments.
• Skill in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection test plans, and quality documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, client representatives, and stakeholders to secure project success.
• Excellent skills in technical reporting, documentation management, and communication.
• Proficient in spotting quality issues, implementing corrective measures, and ensuring adherence to customer and project standards.
• Experience supporting FAT, OAT, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Strong organizational aptitude to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic, high-tech construction context.
