We invite Mechanical Engineers passionate about water infrastructure to express interest in joining our New Zealand Pacific Water team. You will leverage a vast global network and years of expertise to deliver innovative, environmentally conscious water projects that support and nurture communities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct deep investigations into complex water infrastructure challenges, applying analytical expertise to develop effective client-focused solutions.
- Design detailed mechanical systems for water-related projects, including water supply, wastewater, stormwater treatment, and pump stations, ensuring integration with multidisciplinary teams and adherence to hydraulic principles.
- Apply knowledge of New Zealand’s codes and standards to ensure regulatory compliance and maintain project quality while staying updated on emerging trends and technologies.
- Communicate proficiently both verbally and in writing to present ideas, share insights, and collaborate with clients and teams to ensure project success.
- Utilize and guide the use of CAD and modelling software such as Inventor and AutoCAD for mechanical water system design, ensuring accuracy and innovation.
- Employ creative and practical thinking to develop effective solutions that address project challenges with lateral approaches.
- Identify technical risks associated with projects and develop corresponding mitigation strategies to promote sustainability and success.
- Collaborate within a team-oriented environment, contributing original ideas with significant impact on project outcomes.
- Establish and sustain strong client relationships, ensuring understanding and alignment of solutions with client objectives.
Eligibility

Roles are open across various New Zealand locations, including Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Hawkes Bay, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Tauranga, and Wellington. The opportunity spans several experience levels from professionals with five years’ relevant experience to senior and lead mechanical engineers.
