Role Overview
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for skilled hands-on work involving maintenance and repair across diverse systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing systems, and building works.
- Carry out routine inspections to detect potential problems and execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve malfunctions in equipment and machinery.
- Install and maintain various machinery, equipment, and systems as required.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues quickly.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all maintenance tasks and repairs undertaken.
- Ensure all maintenance operations adhere to prescribed safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Support coordination and scheduling of routine maintenance activities in collaboration with the maintenance team.
- Communicate significant issues or necessary maintenance interventions to management.
- Contribute to system or equipment upgrades and replacements when necessary.
- Utilize company-specific software and applications professionally to support maintenance activities.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of high school or diploma in Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 to 4 years of practical experience in maintenance roles.
- Fundamental understanding of tools and general maintenance tasks.
- Strong attention to detail paired with effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Physically fit to perform the required maintenance work.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with safety standards and prescribed maintenance procedures.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and management.
