Logistics Executive

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Fleet Executive based in Bengaluru to oversee and optimize the operations of our taxi fleet. Reporting to the Fleet Manager or Operations Manager, this full-time role involves managing vehicle maintenance, driver coordination, adherence to regulations, and overall fleet efficiency. It requires excellent multitasking, organizational ability, and attention to detail within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the taxi fleet to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Plan and coordinate regular vehicle maintenance, repairs, servicing, and safety inspections.
• Maintain the fleet’s roadworthiness, cleanliness, and ensure compliance with government and company standards.
• Keep comprehensive records of all vehicle documentation such as insurance, registrations, permits, and fitness certifications.
• Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and operational expenses accurately.
• Facilitate driver onboarding and training, ensuring drivers follow company policies and safety protocols.
• Manage incidents involving vehicles or drivers with proper documentation and reporting procedures.
• Use fleet management tools and GPS tracking systems to oversee vehicle movements and performance.
• Coordinate with garages, vendors, and external services to support maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure timely renewal of all licenses, permits, and insurance certificates.
• Prepare detailed fleet performance and expense reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Between 1 to 3 years of experience in fleet management, preferentially within taxi or transportation sectors.
• Extensive knowledge of vehicle upkeep, regulatory compliance, and fleet operations.
• Good command of MS Office and familiarity with fleet tracking software.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
• Flexible in working hours and capable of handling emergency situations effectively.
• Preferred: Understanding of local transport laws and licensing processes.
• Experience with ride-hailing platforms or taxi dispatch systems is an advantage.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with drivers and team members.
• Possession of a valid four-wheeler driving license is necessary.

Compensation

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 24000 to 28000 INR.
