Star Construction, LLC is dedicated to fostering a connected and safe working environment. As a Locator, you will play a critical role in marking underground utilities using flags and paint to ensure projects proceed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate locating devices to identify and mark underground utilities, seeking assistance from seasoned Locators when necessary.
• Interpret utility maps accurately to locate underground utilities.
• Record all utility locates in documentation.
• Promptly and courteously respond to excavation notices.
• Communicate effectively with excavators, utility company representatives, and internal staff.
• Perform light digging with a shovel when required.
• Be prepared to work overtime, travel, and handle on-call or after-hours duties as necessary.
• Conduct work under varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorization to work in the United States for Star Construction, LLC.
• High School diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant professional experience.
• Valid state driver's license (not provisional) with a clean driving record.

Physical Demands

• Frequently work alone in remote areas with tasks requiring arms raised above shoulder level, use of vehicles, fine hand movements, bending, stooping, standing, walking, lifting up to 55 pounds, and keyboard/mouse use.
• Occasionally work with portable ladders, in confined spaces, and climbing stairs.
