Lean Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

As a Lean Manufacturing Engineer at Micron Technology in Singapore, you will spearhead the application of Lean transformation techniques and tools across operations including High Bandwidth Memory, Component Assembly and Test, and SSD production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, workshops, and projects involving cross-functional teams.
• Develop and sustain ongoing programs and systems that cultivate a Lean culture within the organization.
• Work closely with subject matter experts to identify improvement opportunities using Lean methods and tools.
• Deliver Lean training and knowledge transfer to enhance organizational capabilities.
• Act as the primary liaison between central and site teams to drive and communicate critical Lean improvement programs.
• Conduct Lean diagnostics and design improvement strategies integrating inputs from multiple functional areas.
• Maintain an overarching view of critical initiatives and their influence on key performance metrics.
• Provide transparent status updates on programs, including milestones and clear responsibilities.
• Initiate corrective actions to keep projects aligned with goals and timelines.
• Support regular leadership reporting cycles, including detailed weekly and monthly briefings and ad hoc management reports.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Production & Operations Management, or related fields.
• Lean Manufacturing certification or relevant experience is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and critical thinking capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across organizational levels.
• A growth-focused mindset and enthusiasm for continual learning.
• Internship or prior experience in the semiconductor sector is a plus.
• Proven leadership skills and a history of impactful contributions are highly desirable.
• Interest and knowledge in the semiconductor industry and Micron’s operations.
