Professional Development and Mentorship
The role offers substantial growth opportunities including assignment of an alumni mentor, attendance at quarterly Executive Leadership panels featuring prominent Delta Upsilon alumni, and participation in an annual in-person meeting with a DU alumnus aligned with your career interests.
Myth Busting
Contrary to some misconceptions, serving as a Leadership Consultant is open to all brothers passionate about Delta Upsilon, regardless of prior officer roles. Academic background does not limit candidates; a variety of majors are represented successfully. The skills gained, including critical thinking, team leadership, problem-solving, budgeting, conflict resolution, and communication, are broadly applicable and valued in many career paths. Additionally, time as a Leadership Consultant does not hinder graduate school prospects; rather, it can enhance applications by demonstrating leadership and experience. Lastly, consultants work with a diverse portfolio of chapters, not exclusively struggling ones, and receive comprehensive training before and during their tenure.
Additional Information
This position requires extensive travel funded by the fraternity. The start date is immediate. For inquiries, contact the Senior Director of Fraternity Growth.
