Role Summary
The University of South Carolina is hiring a Laboratory Specialist II to support laboratory operations in Columbia, South Carolina. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biological Science is required. Prior experience working in a research laboratory is preferred.
Core Knowledge and Abilities
- Working understanding of laboratory spaces, methods, instruments, and materials.
- Awareness of proper and safe chemical handling practices in a lab environment.
- Capacity to read, interpret, and carry out detailed technical directions accurately.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members.
Work Schedule
Standard working hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
