Position Overview

The Lab Technician role at H.B. Fuller in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, is integral to the Research & Development team. This position supports product development and laboratory operations including sample preparation, product testing, evaluation, and documentation, ensuring adherence to safety and organizational standards while collaborating with multiple departments like Quality, Production, and Technical Service to foster continuous innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety protocols of the laboratory environment.
• Operate, calibrate, and perform maintenance on laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Prepare, mix, and conduct tests on products and raw material samples.
• Carry out physical and performance evaluations on products and trial batches.
• Accurately record testing data and maintain comprehensive documentation related to R&D activities.
• Assist in the preparation of technical and regulatory documentation such as MSDS and Certificates of Analysis.
• Manage and label sample inventory, and coordinate shipment processes for evaluations.
• Support activities around new product development, production troubleshooting, and collaborate on cross-functional projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in a relevant technical field or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in laboratory, quality control, or R&D environments.
• Hands-on skills with basic laboratory testing and equipment handling.
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities, with proficiency in English.
• Legal authorization to work in the UAE and ability to fulfill physical job requirements.

Preferred Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific field.
• Experience in laboratory testing, product evaluation, and document management.
• Knowledge of chemical handling and adherence to laboratory safety protocols.
• Previous experience supporting product development or manufacturing processes.
