Program overview
Kraft Heinz is offering a 12-month trainee opportunity in Düsseldorf, Germany, starting on 1 September 2026. The role begins on a permanent contract from day one and covers several business areas, including Sales, Marketing, Category Development, Finance, Supply Chain, and People & Performance.
About Kraft Heinz
Kraft Heinz is a worldwide food and beverage company known for a strong legacy and a mix of well-known and newer brands. The company focuses on taste, quality, and innovation while keeping the consumer at the centre of its work.
About the trainee program
This program is intended for ambitious, high-performing, and creative future leaders. Trainees will build a deeper understanding of the business through cross-functional rotations, work with teams across the organisation, and gain experience that helps them develop their own leadership style.
What the program includes
The journey starts with a functional onboarding that introduces trainees to the different functions in a practical way. This is followed by a field sales assignment to build first-hand knowledge of the products and consumers. During the program, trainees will also complete an individual business project designed to test problem-solving skills, and then take part in another business placement in a different area. After the 12 months, trainees move into roles where they can contribute immediately.
Participants also get regular chances to interact with global leaders, learn from former trainees, connect with trainees in other countries, and take part in learning experiences that support leadership growth.
Eligibility and requirements
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and must have graduated in or after 2025, in any discipline. Candidates can have at most 2 years of work experience after graduation. Strong English and German skills are required. The role also requires a willingness and ability to relocate within Europe.
Only candidates with valid permanent working rights in Germany can be considered. An orientation year visa or sponsorship visa is not enough to move forward in the process.
Recruitment process
The selection process has four stages:
- Application plus Pymetrics games assessment
- Pymetrics video interview
- Trainee and business interview
- Panel interview with leaders
The Pymetrics games are designed to understand cognitive, social, and behavioural traits, and there are no right or wrong answers. The video interview is short and pre-recorded. The interviews are intended to help both sides learn more about the fit, motivations, goals, and aspirations for the role.
What Kraft Heinz offers
The company offers a permanent contract from the start of the trainee program, intensive training across different business units, support and mentorship throughout the program, and highly competitive benefits.
Values and traits sought
Kraft Heinz is looking for people who are consumer-focused, driven to improve every day, supportive of great teams, committed to diversity, principled in their decisions, and ready to take ownership.
