Kitchen Helper

About the Role

We are looking for a Kitchen Helper to join our team in Mumbai, working full-time in a fast-paced restaurant and cloud kitchen environment. The role involves assisting chefs and kitchen staff in various food preparation tasks and maintaining kitchen hygiene and orderliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Support chefs and kitchen team with daily food prep activities, including washing, peeling, chopping, and preparing vegetables and other ingredients as directed.
• Keep the kitchen, workstations, and equipment clean and hygienic at all times.
• Assist in the receipt, storage, and organization of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Adhere strictly to food safety standards, hygiene protocols, and kitchen standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Help chefs manage busy periods to ensure orders are prepared promptly.
• Handle waste segregation and disposal appropriately to maintain cleanliness.
• Clean utensils, kitchen equipment, and areas as necessary.
• Ensure availability of ingredients and items required at various kitchen stations.
• Follow instructions provided by the Chef or Kitchen Manager.
• Demonstrate discipline, punctuality, and professional conduct throughout working hours.

Candidate Profile

• Experience ranging from none to 2 years in kitchen or restaurant roles is acceptable; freshers are welcome to apply.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards is needed.
• Physically capable of handling the demands of a busy kitchen environment and 12-hour shifts.
• A cooperative team player who follows instructions carefully.
