Role Overview
Beacon Hill is hiring a detail-focused Junior Project Manager / Project Coordinator to support planning, execution, governance, and delivery efforts across business and technology teams. This contract position is fully remote, but you must be able to work Eastern Time Zone business hours. The role calls for 4–5 years of experience in project coordination or junior project management, along with comfort working in fast-moving collaborative environments and exposure to Agile delivery practices and technical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep multiple project workstreams moving by monitoring tasks, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Maintain RAID logs, project updates, action lists, and governance-related documentation.
- Organize and run project meetings by preparing agendas, capturing notes, tracking follow-ups, and coordinating stakeholder actions.
- Use JIRA to keep tickets, risks, dependencies, and milestone progress current and easy to follow.
- Work alongside Business Analysts and technical contributors to keep requirements, scope, priorities, and timelines aligned.
- Share clear and timely updates on project status, risks, issues, and decisions with stakeholders.
- Help with governance tasks such as preparing status materials, escalating blockers, and aligning work to PMO expectations.
- Support cross-functional coordination and help drive accountability for assigned actions and deliverables.
- Take part in Agile routines such as stand-ups and sprint updates, and help support Agile ways of working where used.
- Collaborate with technical teams involved in APIs, Azure, system integrations, and modern application development.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of experience in a project coordinator, junior project manager, or similar project support role.
- Solid understanding of core project management work, including planning, tracking, reporting, risk handling, and escalation of issues.
- Practical experience maintaining RAID logs and project documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.
- Comfort independently leading meetings, documenting outcomes, and following through on action items.
- Hands-on JIRA experience for ticket management, progress tracking, and delivery monitoring.
- Experience partnering with Business Analysts and technology teams on requirements and delivery schedules.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to juggle competing priorities in a remote setting.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Availability to work during Eastern Time Zone business hours.
- Preferred: PMP, CSM, SAFe Agile, or a similar certification.
- Preferred: Exposure to Agile frameworks, including ceremonies and sprint cycles.
- Preferred: Familiarity with PMO processes, governance models, and structured reporting environments.
- Preferred: Experience supporting technical work in full-stack development, cloud platforms such as Azure, APIs, or system integration.
- Preferred: Exposure to Cyber Insurance, Digital Broker, or related insurance/financial services domains.
