Junior Product Analyst

Role overview

We are hiring a motivated, detail-focused Junior Product Analyst for an entry-level position in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role is suited to someone who wants to learn how customer needs shape digital products, how product performance is measured, and how product improvements are developed. You will partner with teams across the business, work with data, and contribute to product decisions while building practical experience in product management and business analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Support the team by gathering and reviewing product performance data.
• Help write and maintain product requirements and user stories.
• Carry out research on the market and competitors to spot trends and opportunities.
• Collect, organize, and summarize customer feedback that can be used to improve products.
• Track core product metrics and create simple reports and dashboards.
• Join product planning discussions and ideation sessions.
• Work with developers, designers, QA, and business stakeholders to move initiatives forward.
• Keep product documentation current and maintain project records.
• Assist with testing new features before they are released.
• Build knowledge of product tools and analytical methods through hands-on learning.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, or a closely related discipline.
• Suitable for recent graduates.
• Strong ability to analyze information and solve problems.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong organizational habits and attention to detail.
• Interest in learning product management and business analysis methods.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred knowledge

• Basic awareness of software development or digital product workflows.
• Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel is helpful, though not mandatory.
• Understanding of Agile or Scrum practices is an added advantage.
• Interest in user experience and customer behavior.
• Ability to prepare basic presentations and documentation.
