Junior General Accountant

About The Opportunity

An established company in Qatar is looking for a Junior General Accountant to become part of its finance department. This role suits accounting professionals with between two to three years of experience who wish to advance their career in a prominent and expanding organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep precise financial records and maintain accounting documentation.
• Prepare journal entries and participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and assist in cash management tasks.
• Help prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Track expenses and assist with budgeting activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to address finance-related issues.
• Support both internal and external audit processes as needed.
• Perform additional accounting and finance assignments as delegated by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Two to three years’ experience in a general accounting position.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and ERP or accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preference for Arabic-speaking applicants, but candidates from all nationalities are welcome.
• Applicants currently residing in Qatar are preferred.
