DataSpeckle is an Artificial Intelligence firm based in British Columbia that assembles agile and distributed groups of experts in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, data science, and full-stack engineering. Their clientele spans numerous industries including Aviation, Finance, Insurance, Healthcare and Medical Imaging, Logistics and Supply Chain, Security, Retail, Document Automation, Business Analytics, Predictive and Time Series Forecasting, Price Optimization, Mobile Automation, and Object Detection using Computer Vision.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Data Scientist to strengthen our Research & Development division. Candidates should bring hands-on industry experience addressing diverse challenges in AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement AI and machine learning techniques to design intelligent user-focused solutions.
- Invent and develop novel, precise AI algorithms and sophisticated systems for practical applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver code and software products.
- Work alongside product managers to identify use cases, and establish methodologies and benchmarks to assess various AI approaches.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of five years’ industry experience in domains such as Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Speech, Augmented/Virtual Reality, Conversational AI, Dialogue Systems, Robotics, AI Infrastructure, or Machine Learning.
- A proven track record of converting data insights into actionable business strategies.
- Familiarity with big data technologies including Hadoop, HBase, Pig, MapReduce, Sawzall, or Bigtable.
- Proficiency in compiled programming languages like C/C++ and Java.
- Experience with scripting languages and AI frameworks including Python, R, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
