Junior Business Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and analytical Junior Business Analyst to join our team in Sydney. This role involves supporting various business enhancement efforts by collecting and evaluating data, documenting business needs, and collaborating with stakeholders to uncover and implement process improvements. Key Responsibilities

• Collect and interpret business requirements from stakeholders
• Contribute to the assessment of current business processes and spot improvement areas
• Assist with data analysis, generating reports, and tracking performance metrics
• Create business documentation including process flow charts and functional specifications
• Work alongside different teams to assist with project execution
• Support user acceptance testing and verify enhancements to systems
• Track project developments and give status updates regularly
• Conduct research on market trends and organizational operations to aid strategic plans
• Ensure thorough maintenance of project and business records
• Support additional business analysis and operational projects as needed

Candidate Profile

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Meticulous attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines efficiently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
• Basic familiarity with data analysis platforms like Power BI, SQL, or Tableau is a plus
• A positive, eager-to-learn attitude with teamwork orientation

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or related field preferred
• Internship or entry-level experience in business analysis, customer service, operations, administration, or project support is advantageous
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks, Jira, Confluence, or business analysis methodologies is beneficial
