The role is based in Caulfield North, Victoria, and focuses on developing a modern, AI-powered data platform that supports advanced nutrition and weight management technology.

The company manages an extensive database exceeding 2.3 million verified food items and handles over 700 million API calls monthly, impacting millions of health journeys across 58 countries. The data platform is expanding to convert this large dataset into actionable, production-ready insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and sustain ELT pipelines using dbt and Snowflake to convert raw data into organized, clean models.
- Assist in creating and refining the semantic layer that translates business needs into standardized, reliable metrics for self-service analytics.
- Incorporate AI tools such as Snowflake Cortex, CoWork, and large language models to optimize daily workflows and amplify impact.
- Collaborate extensively with engineering, product, marketing, AI innovation, and executive leadership teams to deeply understand the business context and help define essential metrics.
- Participate in enhancing platform foundations by supporting data governance, testing, and continuous integration/deployment to ensure rapid yet stable data product delivery.
Candidate Qualifications and Skills
- Recent graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative discipline with 0 to 2 years of experience in an entry-level analytics capacity.
- Strong foundational knowledge in SQL and relational databases, with additional practical or academic exposure to dbt and Snowflake considered highly advantageous.
- Keen interest and proactive engagement with AI-driven workflows including large language models (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) and tools for semantic layer construction.
- Excellent communication skills paired with a strong eagerness to learn underlying business contexts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Minimum of one year of professional or internship experience within Australia is mandatory.
- Desirable skills include basic Python proficiency, familiarity with cloud services like AWS S3, and experience with data ingestion/orchestration tools such as Airbyte or Prefect.
