Position Overview
Washington County Justice Court is looking for a Judicial Assistant to join their team in St George, UT. This role is full-time with benefits and involves performing key administrative and clerical functions to support the judicial process, ensuring court operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to the public, attorneys, and law enforcement personnel.
- Manage court-related financial transactions including payments and fines.
- Organize and oversee scheduling of hearings and maintain court calendars.
- Prepare and process official court documents such as warrants, subpoenas, and case files.
- Maintain confidential records and provide assistance during court proceedings.
- Support the daily functions of the courtroom and office environment.
Candidate Profile
- Highly attentive to detail with strong accuracy in all tasks.
- Communicates professionally across diverse groups.
- Able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced workplace.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and professionalism.
- Comfortable navigating various computer systems and technology tools.
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably with coursework in secretarial and clerical fields.
- At least two years of progressively responsible experience related to the duties described; three years for advanced roles.
- Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask while paying close attention to detail.
- Successful completion of background checks necessary for access to criminal justice information.
Additional Information
