Job Overview

This role involves working as an experienced Java Developer with expertise in AWS to design, build, and maintain cloud-native enterprise applications. The position requires strong skills in Java technologies, microservices, AWS cloud services, and modern DevOps methodologies. The job location is Chennai, India, and applicants must be able to attend the in-person walk-in interview at the specified venue.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement highly scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices-based systems.
• Create cloud-native solutions utilizing various AWS services.
• Deploy and manage applications effectively within AWS infrastructures.
• Collaborate closely with architects, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
• Enhance application performance, scalability, and security measures.
• Engage in thorough code reviews and adhere to best coding standards.
• Identify and resolve production-level issues by providing timely application support.
• Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and contribute to cloud modernization efforts.

Required Skills and Technologies

• Proficient in Core Java including Java 8 and above (Java 11+ preferred).
• Strong knowledge in Spring Boot framework.
• Experience in microservices architecture development.
• Development of RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Ability to manage SQL and general database tasks.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Experience using version control systems like Git.

Preferred Skills

• Containerization and orchestration technologies: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Messaging platforms such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• API Gateway management experience.
• Knowledge of OpenShift platform.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum frameworks.

Candidate Profile

• 7 to 12 years of industry experience in Java application development.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud service utilization.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying microservices architectures.
• Good understanding of application security and cloud best practices.
• Experience working in Agile project environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
