Role Summary
The IT Technician will help keep critical client-facing systems operational, supported, and ready for use. The role involves maintaining workstations and related equipment, responding to maintenance needs, assisting with installations and configuration, and ensuring work is completed in line with service standards and company procedures.
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification. A Certificate in IT, Computer Science, or a similar field is also acceptable if supported by at least 3 years of experience in IT field support.
Key Responsibilities
The technician is expected to maintain the availability and usability of systems used by clients and users, while supporting day-to-day technical operations.
- Keep Servers, CUTE Workstations, Internet Kiosks, EVIDS screens, Daktronics, and Baggage Input Console systems accessible and functional for users.
- Deliver support and routine maintenance for workstations, EVIDS screens, Internet Kiosks, Daktronics equipment, and baggage input console systems.
- Ensure all assigned systems continue to meet the service levels required by the client.
- Carry out daily instructions and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Work on a rotating 24/7 shift schedule according to the approved roster.
- Perform preventive maintenance on systems under care.
- Handle corrective maintenance in response to incidents or approved changes.
- Assist with installation, setup, configuration, and upgrades when needed.
- Support airline staff and engineers so that both front-end and back-end systems remain in proper working condition according to client requirements.
- Use basic knowledge of system configuration and operation to support the tools and equipment under care.
- Follow standard operating procedures and organizational policies in all work activities.
- Prepare and submit reports to management when requested.
- Comply with all company rules, regulations, and internal policies.
Experience Requirement
Prior experience is preferred and considered an advantage, but it is not mandatory.
Skills
The ideal candidate should be a clear communicator, a strong problem solver, and a dependable team player.
Work Schedule
This position requires working in a 24x7 shift rotation based on the approved roster.
