IT Support Officer

Role Overview

This part-time position as an IT Support Officer at Sabem SA is based in Dubai and offers a hybrid work arrangement combining on-site presence with remote duties. The primary focus of this role is to deliver technical support to staff by managing helpdesk requests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring reliable operation of IT devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support by addressing employee helpdesk tickets promptly.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and basic network problems efficiently.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers and their peripherals.
• Support and troubleshoot printers and related equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Document reported incidents and implemented solutions systematically.
• Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues appropriately.
• Participate in improving IT support processes through collaboration with team members.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with users of diverse technical knowledge levels.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven skills in technical support with ability to manage user issues and service requests.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities for hardware, software, and networking challenges.
• Basic understanding of IT systems, concepts, and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with installing and maintaining desktop computers and peripherals.
• Competence in printer setup, connectivity management, and error resolution.
• Excellent communication skills tailored to interact with technically varied users.
• Well-developed organizational and time management skills suitable for a part-time workload.
• Prior experience in IT support or helpdesk roles is highly favorable.
• Technical certifications or completed coursework in IT support, networking, or computer systems considered beneficial.
