Role Overview
The IT Manager will serve as the main point of contact for all IT-related requirements across the company's fast-growing UK operations and subsidiaries. This operational role is user-focused, requiring strong technical acumen, a commitment to service excellence, and close coordination with the Group IT team based in Spain. Responsibilities include harmonizing local IT strategy with global goals, promoting best practices, and driving efficient operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver daily IT support for end-users across UK subsidiaries, addressing hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues within defined service levels.
- Lead onboarding for new staff and acquired entities by managing equipment set-up, system access, and introduction to corporate IT tools and policies.
- Maintain relationships with local technology vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service and cost efficiency.
- Serve as liaison between UK operations and Group IT in Spain, escalating complex issues, and enforcing group standards, security policies, and data protection rules.
- Keep an accurate inventory of all IT assets across UK sites.
- Supervise IT projects including infrastructure upgrades, system integrations, and cybersecurity efforts.
- Manage IT budgeting to ensure effective resource utilization.
- Stay informed on emerging technology trends and propose solutions to improve operational efficiency and innovation.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in IT support roles supporting over 100 users across multiple sites or entities.
- Technical proficiency with end-user technologies such as Windows, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, endpoint management tools, and IT service management software like HELIX.
- Highly organized, proactive, capable of handling several requests and projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach, able to work independently while maintaining alignment with central IT teams.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is advantageous due to group structure.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing IT in multinational or multi-subsidiary business environments.
- Broad technical knowledge covering Windows, M365, Active Directory/Entra ID, basic networking, and endpoint management, along with project coordination and vendor management experience.
- Strong skills in communication, organization, stakeholder engagement, and project management.
- Ability to align local IT initiatives with global strategy and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
