Job description
Role Overview
This position is responsible for establishing and managing communication, engagement, and upskilling initiatives within the IT department. The objective is to create and execute a unified, strategic plan for communications and capability development that supports IT's overall strategy and business transformation efforts such as MIP.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and sustain a comprehensive IT communications plan aligned with IT business priorities.
- Create communication frameworks, templates, and governance protocols to standardize IT messaging.
- Develop engaging content for channels like SharePoint, intranet, townhall presentations, and CIO announcements.
- Translate complex technical and strategic information into clear, accessible business-oriented messages.
- Ensure synchronization between IT communications and broader corporate messaging standards.
- Organize and manage recurring IT communication events such as townhall meetings.
- Collaborate with corporate communication and marketing teams to maintain tone, brand consistency, and channel appropriateness.
- Collect feedback and track engagement metrics to continuously enhance communication strategies.
- Define and monitor effectiveness and reach of IT communications through metrics.
- Communicate IT evolution projects like MIP and support their execution within IT and cross-functional teams.
- Develop and manage an organization-wide IT upskilling program to foster continuous learning across the function.
- Design and execute engagement strategies covering IT and the wider organization.
- Work in partnership with project and delivery teams on change management for business-facing initiatives, while broader capability programs are being developed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree holder in Information Technology, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- At least three years of professional experience in communication, change management, or upskilling roles within data, digital, or technology environments.
- Exceptional content development and storytelling abilities, capable of simplifying complex concepts.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating structured, integrated communication plans and governance frameworks.
- Proven stakeholder engagement and management skills.
- Solid understanding of IT initiatives and technological transformation processes.
