IT Administrator

About the Role

As the inaugural IT Administrator at Cosuno, you will be the primary IT resource for our 100-employee team, handling everything from laptop setup for new hires to managing user accounts and access across our suite of SaaS tools. You will take over IT support duties currently managed by tech leadership, instituting clear and dependable processes to ensure a seamless IT experience for everyone.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of company laptops (Mac and Windows), including setup, maintenance, repair, and replacement.
• Oversee our device management platform JumpCloud (MDM), including device enrollment, updates, configuration profiles, and enforcing security standards.
• Maintain an accurate hardware inventory and responsibly manage asset purchase through secure disposal.
• Coordinate IT aspects of staff onboarding, transfers, and offboarding: accounts, hardware allocation, and access permissions to be ready on day one and revoked on departure.
• Optimize and automate these processes to scale efficiently with company growth.
• Administer user accounts, groups, and single sign-on (SSO) across SaaS platforms like Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion.
• Process access requests and participate with the Security team in regular access audits.
• Serve as the primary contact for IT support questions and troubleshooting, both onsite and remotely.
• Identify and resolve hardware, software, account, and connectivity issues, documenting solutions for future reference.
• Maintain office IT infrastructure including meeting room technology, printers, WiFi, and event support.

Working Style

• Take full ownership of IT support from day one, shaping the function with the backing of leadership and security compliance.
• Emphasize structured problem-solving by creating self-service processes and automations to prevent repetitive issues.
• Leverage AI tools like Claude daily to enhance documentation, scripting, and troubleshooting effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with the Security & Compliance team to implement device and access policies.

Candidate Profile

• Fluency in German and English to support colleagues effectively.
• Practical experience in IT support or administration, preferably in Mac and SaaS-centric workplaces.
• Familiarity with MDM and identity management solutions such as JumpCloud, Jamf, Kandji, Okta, or Google Workspace, or a strong aptitude to learn them swiftly.
• A strong service orientation with patience, responsiveness, and pride in swiftly resolving user issues.
• Organized work habits including tracking tickets, documenting tasks, and following through to completion.
• Basic scripting or automation skills (shell scripting, Python, or low-code platforms) or a desire to develop these skills using AI assistance.

Additional Advantages

• Previous administration experience with Google Workspace and Slack platforms.
• Knowledge of hardware lifecycle management and IT asset tracking.
• Understanding of networking concepts such as WiFi, VPNs, and DNS.
• Familiarity with security standards like ISO 27001, including access reviews and device compliance.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Work Location and Flexibility

This position is based in Berlin with expected regular in-office attendance for hands-on device setup and office IT management. Flexible work hours and remote days are permitted beyond these core onsite responsibilities.
