Job description
Overview of the Role
Join the City of Charles Sturt as an Irrigation Construction Team Member, contributing to the construction of premium irrigation installations within Council-managed open spaces. Your tasks will include operating machinery and plant equipment, laying irrigation pipes, turf restoration, and general labor duties.
This position operates across a cooperative effort involving the Cities of Charles Sturt, Port Adelaide Enfield, and Marion, allowing you to work on projects in all three Council regions. Timely and quality completion of projects is essential to achieve outstanding community benefits.

- Renewal of irrigation at Seacliff Golf Course (City of Marion)
- Greenacres Reserve irrigation upgrade (City of Port Adelaide Enfield)
- St Clair Oval No 2 irrigation construction (City of Charles Sturt)
Candidate Profile
- Must hold a Medium Rigid (MR) vehicle licence and a white card for construction safety
- Possess a trade certificate or similar qualifications/experience in Irrigation, Horticulture, or Landscape Construction
- Excavator or backhoe operator tickets are strongly preferred
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and fostering a positive team culture

Position Details and Benefits
- Full-time, permanent role at Grade ME6
- Starting annual salary of $80,426.73 plus superannuation
- Daily travel allowance of $40.70 ($366 per fortnight) for work across three Council areas
