Role Overview

Joining Etsy's Accounting team in Dublin, this position focuses on supporting the company's expanding growth through timely and precise financial reporting, as well as maintaining a robust internal control environment. This full-time role reports directly to the Senior International Finance Manager and involves significant involvement in the Etsy Controllers group.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily, monthly, and quarterly international accounting activities.
• Oversee US GAAP and statutory accounting and compliance for multiple Etsy subsidiaries outside the US.
• Lead the US GAAP reporting process including month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and internal reporting for various international entities.
• Manage local statutory compliance by preparing financial statements and audits ensuring adherence to local laws.
• Conduct monthly financial analytics for each subsidiary.
• Drive improvements by standardizing processes, automating tasks, reengineering workflows, and adopting AI-driven tools to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as international business units, SEC reporting, treasury for banking and liquidity matters, and payroll to guarantee accurate and timely payroll completion.
• Take on additional related duties as required, adapting to any changes in job responsibilities in compliance with Etsy policies or applicable laws.

Candidate Attributes

• Holds a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Has around one year of post-qualification experience in a similar corporate environment.
• Strong grounding in financial accounting principles and their practical applications.
• Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Workday is highly desirable.
• Exceptionally organized, adaptable, and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates independence by managing and completing tasks reliably while proactively seeking assistance when needed.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills conducive to building strong working relationships in a dispersed team setting.
• Attention to detail combined with a proactive approach towards continuous improvement and willingness to explore new technologies and AI-enabled solutions.

Additional Information

The position offers a salary range between €52,000 and €68,000 per year, along with eligibility for equity packages, annual performance bonuses, and competitive benefits supporting employees and their families.

The role requires presence at Etsy’s Dublin office once or twice weekly depending on commute feasibility. Candidates living near Dublin are preferred.
