Inspector - Scaffolding

Role overview

A prominent LPG bottling facility is looking to add a Scaffolding Inspector to its site team in Ras Laffan, Qatar. The role focuses on ensuring that erected scaffolding is safe for use, properly tagged, and fully aligned with local and international safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily checks on all installed scaffolding before it is used, and apply the correct status tag: Green, Red, or Yellow.
• Make sure every scaffolding activity follows Qatar Energy (QE), RLIC, and recognized international standards, including BS EN 12811-1, TG20, and SG4.
• Keep inspection logs and daily reporting records accurate and current so they can be used during safety audits.
• Spot defects, unsafe loading, or weather-related dangers such as strong winds, and require immediate corrective action or removal where needed.

Qualifications and requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in scaffolding inspection, ideally gained in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or LPG plant settings.
• Must hold a valid third-party scaffold inspection certification, such as CISRS Advanced Scaffold Inspector, CITB, or an equivalent TUV-approved qualification.
• Previous experience on Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) or Qatar Energy (QE) projects is required.
• Sound understanding of Permit to Work (PTW) procedures and hazard recognition is essential.
• Candidates must already be in Qatar and possess a valid QID.
• Immediate availability to join is mandatory.
