Role overview
Giantsage is looking for an accomplished Human Resources Business Partner to oversee regional HR activities for its Nairobi office. This role spans the complete employee journey, including workforce planning, hiring, learning and development, performance management, employee experience, and legal compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead regional workforce planning, hiring, training, performance reviews, and career growth initiatives.
- Create and implement a development framework that strengthens capability building and talent progression.
- Set up and improve performance and incentive structures while supporting a healthy talent pipeline.
- Act as the primary HR contact for employee matters, engagement efforts, and cultural alignment.
- Ensure HR processes comply with local employment laws and develop office-specific policies for pay, benefits, attendance, and leave.
- Provide support for general administrative functions connected to the Nairobi office.
Candidate profile
The ideal professional will bring substantial HR experience, strong recruitment expertise, and a solid command of end-to-end HR operations. This position also calls for cross-cultural leadership experience, preferably in a multinational environment, along with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Eligibility and qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
- Fluency in English for business communication is necessary.
- At least 5 years of experience in HR, including 3 or more years in an HRBP or similar capacity.
- Proven success in recruitment and familiarity with the full HR lifecycle.
- Experience managing cross-cultural teams, ideally in a foreign or multinational organization.
- Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits planning, labor law compliance, and talent strategy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills across cultures.
