About the Role
The HSSE Supervisor is entrusted with the execution, supervision, and enforcement of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental policies to maintain a secure and compliant workplace. This position supports the organization's dedication to preventing accidents, safeguarding personnel and assets, and ensuring adherence to legal, client, and company directives.
Primary Duties
- Oversee daily HSSE operations across project locations.
- Conduct regular inspections to uncover hazards and unsafe practices.
- Ensure adherence to HSSE protocols, client standards, and legal requirements.
- Monitor proper Personal Protective Equipment usage.
- Lead daily safety meetings, briefings, and newcomer safety orientations.
- Engage in Job Safety Analysis and risk evaluations.
- Halt unsafe activities and carry out corrective measures.
- Supervise permit-to-work adherence.
Incident Handling
- Investigate incidents including accidents, near misses, and property damages.
- Produce comprehensive incident reports and suggest corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and statistics.
Environmental Oversight
- Supervise environmental controls like waste management, pollution prevention, and spill response.
- Ensure environmental permit and regulation compliance.
- Conduct environmental audits and inspections.
- Promote eco-friendly working methods.
Security Management
- Manage site security requirements and access control.
- Document security events and propose enhancements.
- Coordinate emergency response for security incidents.
Compliance and Auditing
- Perform internal HSSE audits and inspections.
- Follow up on corrective actions until fulfilled.
- Support client and regulatory audits.
- Ensure conformity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and company standards.
Training and Awareness
- Deliver training on HSSE topics.
- Conduct emergency drills and evacuation procedures.
- Lead safety awareness initiatives.
- Guide supervisors and employees on safe practices.
Emergency Response
- Contribute to emergency planning.
- Coordinate emergency response teams and equipment readiness.
- Assist during fire drills, medical situations, and incident responses.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain all HSSE records and documentation.
- Prepare routine reports on HSSE activities.
- Update risk registers and corrective action logs.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related disciplines. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or OSHA 30-Hour are favorable. First Aid and Fire Safety certifications provide additional advantages.
Applicants must have 3 to 5 years of hands-on HSSE experience in sectors like construction, industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, or oil & gas projects, including supervising field safety, conducting investigations, risk assessments, and familiarity with permit-to-work systems.

- Enforce HSSE policies and procedures.
