Housekeeping Room Attendant (Full Time & Part Time)

Job Overview

As a Housekeeping Room Attendant at Holiday Inn & Suites Geelong, your primary role is to ensure guest rooms and hotel areas are impeccably clean and well-prepared to guarantee a comfortable stay for all guests.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and preparation of guest rooms, including bed making, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing of furniture and fixtures.
• Maintain spotless bathrooms, ensuring they are stocked with towels, toiletries, and essential supplies.
• Replenish guest room amenities such as linens, towels, and personal care items as needed.
• Promptly report any maintenance concerns or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond courteously and efficiently to guest requests and inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness across all areas of the hotel including hallways and common spaces.
• Adhere strictly to safety and sanitation guidelines, utilizing the correct cleaning agents and equipment.
• Attend to special guest requests including providing extra pillows, blankets, or arranging transportation services.
• Maintain a positive demeanor while delivering excellent customer service consistently.

Responsible Business Practices

• Manage and order cleaning supplies and equipment efficiently to reduce waste, supporting environmental initiatives such as recycling and the use of eco-friendly cleaning agents.
• Oversee security procedures for lost and found items as required.
• May undertake additional responsibilities including serving as Supervisor on duty when needed.
