Job description
Role Overview
The Housekeeping Attendant will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene onboard the Vande Bharat Express train through the On Board Housekeeping Services (OBHS) program. This role involves conducting scheduled and demand-based cleaning activities to ensure passenger comfort and sanitation.
Key Duties
- Sanitize toilets regularly by washing, disinfecting, and deodorizing bio-toilets, floors, and fittings.
- Maintain coaches by sweeping aisles, disposing of trash from bins, and cleaning entryways and doorways.
- Apply disinfectants to frequently touched surfaces such as handles, latches, and handrails.
- Implement pest control measures to prevent insect and rodent presence on longer train journeys.
