Role Overview
We are seeking Housekeeping Assistants for our CareChoice Montenotte location. This role offers an excellent chance to hone your skills in a supportive setting alongside a seasoned, multi-cultural team of healthcare professionals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties in communal areas and residents' rooms within the nursing home.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of cleaning tools and chemical solutions.
- Collect and dispose of domestic waste securely and appropriately.
- Address spillages promptly while utilizing safety wet floor signage.
- Gather meal trays, operate the dishwasher, and maintain a clean kitchen area in the unit.
- Wash crockery, cutlery, and related utensils as necessary.
- Prepare trays in advance for meal service.
- Adhere to safe working methods and maintain a secure environment at all times.
- Be flexible and willing to work in various roles as required by the nursing home’s needs.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Genuine passion for elder care and commitment to providing residents with a safe and clean living space.
- Ability to work effectively alone or collaboratively within a team.
- Professional demeanor, empathy, and caring approach towards residents.
- Comfortable handling challenges that may arise within the work environment.
- Proficient English communication skills.
- Availability for diverse shift schedules, including workdays from Monday through Sunday.
