Role Summary
The Clinic Assistant plays an essential role in the ongoing care and comfort of hospitalized animals. Responsibilities include ensuring pets receive necessities such as food, water, walks, and clean bedding. Additionally, the assistant supports the clinical team by maintaining a clean and well-stocked environment throughout the hospital. This position is vital to the smooth daily operation of the hospital.
Candidate Profile
- Availability for day and evening shifts including weekends within the hospital’s 24/7 schedule is required.
- Certificate II or higher qualification in Animal Studies preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic environment is highly advantageous.
- A strong passion for delivering high-quality animal and patient care is essential.
- Effective organizational skills and capable time management to handle multiple tasks are important.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
- A good understanding of workplace health and safety related to veterinary and boarding settings.
- A committed, positive work ethic aligning with the hospital’s core values.
- Ability to maintain patient care standards even during busy periods with close attention to detail.
- Completion or willingness to attain Fear Free Pets certification is expected.
- Own transportation is necessary due to work location.
