About the Role

Sydney Children's Hospitals Network seeks Hospital Assistants (Grade 2) who will operate primarily at the Randwick location. This role involves supporting clinical teams by assisting with non-clinical patient care such as lifting and transporting patients, aiding emergency response teams, and managing specimen, equipment, and supply logistics.

The role also encompasses various cleaning responsibilities including routine and terminal cleaning of internal hospital areas as well as maintaining the cleanliness of external grounds to prevent healthcare-associated infections.

Employment Details

  • Employment types offered include full-time, part-time, permanent, temporary, and casual engagements.
  • Standard hours are 38 hours per week.
  • The base salary is $57,614.53 full-time equivalent (excluding superannuation, leave loading, and salary packaging).

Candidate Profile

  • Significant prior experience in a similar healthcare support role is essential.
  • Competency in English reading and writing to carry out duties safely and accurately.
  • Physical capacity to frequently push or pull mobile waste bins, patient beds, and trolleys.
