Job Description

• Provide assistance to pipe fitters and welders during the fabrication, installation, and erection of piping systems.
• Help with handling, moving, loading, and unloading pipes, fittings, valves, and related piping materials.
• Support activities involving pipe alignment, fit-up, preparation, and installation following instructions from the Foreman.
• Perform basic tasks such as cleaning, grinding, aiding in cutting, deburring, and preparing materials.
• Assist in installing pipe supports, clamps, brackets, and other components necessary for piping.
• Prepare tools, work areas, and materials needed for daily piping tasks.
• Contribute to rigging operations during the handling and positioning of piping elements.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness at the worksite and ensure safe passage in and around work areas.
• Assist in dismantling and reinstatement work during piping modifications or maintenance.
• Support hydrotesting, flushing, and other pre-commissioning duties as required.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of piping materials to avoid damage.
• Operate hand tools safely under supervision from experienced personnel.
• Follow instructions given by the Piping Foreman and assist the team in completing assigned tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Basic education or vocational training is preferable.
• Some foundational understanding of mechanical or piping work is beneficial.
• Possess between one to three years of experience as a Piping Helper within sectors such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or EPC projects.
• Prior experience supporting pipe fitters and welders is advantageous.
