Role overview
This opportunity sits within an ASX 200 business that has recently brought in a new CEO and leadership group and is now pushing ahead with a wide-ranging strategic change agenda. The focus is on unlocking sustainable growth while also delivering significant cost reductions.
The position reports to the General Manager, Transformation and involves leading a team that works on the organisation’s most complex and high-pressure initiatives. It is a senior, high-impact role with strong visibility across the business.
What you will do
You will step into underperforming programs, diagnose where delivery has drifted, and work with executive sponsors to reshape project plans so they can get back on track. The role also calls for hands-on support to remove blockers in critical execution paths, along with practical recommendations on where people and capital should be redirected to improve outcomes.
Another important part of the role is turning lessons from these programs into stronger enterprise delivery capability so the organisation can perform better on future transformations.
Candidate profile
The ideal person will bring a mix of consulting and in-house transformation experience, with the confidence to operate in uncertainty and the presence to influence senior stakeholders. This role suits someone who can enter a difficult situation, quickly establish control, and help leaders make clear decisions.
Experience and suitability
You should have at least 5 years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm, plus a further 3 years or more in corporate strategy and/or transformation delivery.
Additional information
This is a career-defining opportunity to lead major change programs in a large listed company environment.
