About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Head of Quality to lead and shape quality management within our international company based in Hartmannsdorf, Saxony. This is a permanent, full-time position starting immediately, offering you the opportunity to take over from a long-standing predecessor and to further develop existing structures while contributing your own ideas.
Responsibilities
- Lead both strategic and operational aspects of quality management, quality assurance, and quality control departments.
- Oversee quality inspections, initial sample examinations, and assembly approvals.
- Evaluate component quality and make informed decisions when quality deviations arise.
- Apply problem-solving techniques such as Ishikawa diagrams and 8D reports effectively.
- Manage ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) processes including measurements, training, and calibrations.
- Analyze complaints, institute sustainable corrective measures, and ensure resolution.
- Contribute proactively to the development and maintenance of the management system.
- Create, update, and manage quality-specific documentation.
- Lead, train, and support your team professionally and personally for continued growth.
- Plan and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring quality objectives and budgets are met.
Qualifications
- Completed technical degree such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field; or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years professional and leadership experience in quality management.
- Strong knowledge of quality methods and standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent communication skills, decisiveness, and the ability to work well in a team.
- Self-initiative, responsible conduct, and a business-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support international sites.
