Role overview

Ondavi is seeking a Head of Operations to lead the company’s day-to-day operational planning and execution during the pre-launch and launch phases. This remote contract position is focused on building efficient, scalable systems that support business objectives while keeping operations organized and effective.

What you’ll handle

You will develop and improve operational processes, coordinate supply chain and vendor relationships, manage timelines across product, marketing, and customer experience, and keep a close watch on performance metrics. The role also involves working directly with the founders and other cross-functional partners to help ensure product readiness, fulfillment, and customer support are set up for success.

Additional responsibilities

Beyond core operations work, you will create and maintain operational documentation, manage operations-related budgeting, identify risks, and spot opportunities to improve overall performance.

Qualifications

Experience building and improving operational systems, including process design, workflow optimization, and scalable implementation.
Strong ability to analyze data, monitor KPIs, and use findings to guide practical decisions.
Leadership experience managing teams and driving accountability across different functions.
Excellent communication skills for working with founders, external partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders, as well as documenting processes clearly.
Hands-on budgeting experience covering operational spending, forecasting, and cost optimization.
Background in consumer products, wellness, or supplements operations is a plus, especially in early-stage or pre-launch settings.
Comfort working in a remote, fast-moving, and often ambiguous environment with strong organization and attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Pay transparency

Compensation is $40-45 per hour, depending on experience.
