A prominent manufacturer specializing in custom machinery seeks an experienced Head of Operations to join their senior management team. This position is based in County Sligo, Ireland, requiring frequent travel to manufacturing sites in the UK.

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will spearhead the operational strategy across manufacturing locations in Ireland and the UK. This pivotal position will significantly impact the company’s strategic direction, encouraging standardization and scalability throughout all operational departments. Responsibilities include close collaboration with the Managing Director and senior leadership, as well as department heads covering Projects, Design, Manufacturing, Installation & Commissioning, and Service areas to ensure alignment, accountability, and best operational practices.

Candidate Experience

Ideal applicants will have held leadership positions such as Operations Manager, Head of Operations, or Operations Director, with experience managing multiple manufacturing sites. Experience in manufacturing technical products or machinery in regulated sectors like pharmaceuticals, food, beverage, or FMCG industries is advantageous but not mandatory.

Travel Commitment

Applicants must be prepared for regular UK visits, potentially spending up to a week at a time onsite.
